The ultimate in romance, Kevin proposed to Kelsey in the midst of a huge candlelit heart on a sandy beach. We were thrilled when Kelsey invited us to help her plan her unique wedding in gorgeous plums and moss greens. Estancia La Jolla was the perfect venue to create their magical evening. The couple was married under a beautiful hydrangea-drenched grapevine canopy in the Estancia garden. As we partnered with Jan, mother of the bride, every detail was designed and completed. From glowing balls of woven lights to a ceiling draped in creamy soft fabric, each element added to the natural ambience. We knew the guests would arrive thirsty on this warm summer day, so we created a festive purple drink, decorated with a candied purple fruit slice and playful straw. Leaf name cards and table numbers enriched the woodsy, yet elegant theme. The perfect, refreshing touch to a lovely summer wedding, Pink Berry Frozen Yogurt was the couple’s dessert choice for their guests, with a small, marzipan-leafed cake for the traditional cake cutting ceremony. Two joyous hearts, Lauren and Philip envisioned an intimate affair with their dear family and friends. With an East meets West theme, a touch of Hampton Style mixed with local seaside flare created the perfect setting at the Darlington House. White paper lanterns twinkled above the gorgeous pottery centerpieces which nestled upon the burlap inspired linens. The best was yet to come certainly came true as the charming couple danced their magical night away under the stars! A huge thank you to Jason Ward for sharing such beautiful photos.
“Love is the KEY to happiness” was a fitting theme for Shannon and Michael’s wedding and reception at Founders Chapel and the Lodge at Torrey Pines. Their faces glowed with the warmth of their love and their obvious delight was so contagious that the guests soon shared in their infectious joy. Tying in the theme, a decorative Key motif adorned all of the wedding décor and printed materials. Many years ago, when Shannon’s parents were married, they planted a tree to celebrate their union. So, to carry on the tradition, their gift to the couple was their very own tree to plant as a remembrance. To top off this intimate event, the family shared delicious flavored walnuts from their very own family orchard as favors. Thank you Sean Walker for your beautiful photos!
Kristin and Kirk were a blast to work with. Flying back and forth from New York to plan their wedding at the Grand Del Mar, was part of the fun. Kirk always had a milkshake at our meetings, so it was fitting that Kristin surprised him with an Oreo ice cream cake and a milk shake at the reception. He loved it! All the guests also enjoyed mini milk shakes along with their cake. This wedding was full of amazing music. They had a gospel choir sing for the ceremony, a quartet band for cocktail hour. Duo guitarists played background music as the guests ate dinner and then to top it off, Tainted Love played for the later part of their reception. The guests went crazy dancing all night to the 80′s music. Kristin and Kirk did a dress change to be fit for the party! Check out Kristin’s blinged out belt buckle with her new last name. Garrett did an great job capturing the day.

An incredible family and an incredible day! Meredith and Brian were such a blast to work with! Humor and emotion was a huge part of their day with a touching ceremony officiated by the bride’s sister to rockin’ out after Meredith and Brian recessed down the aisle to a surprise performance by Wayne Foster Entertainment, singing “Don’t Stop Believin”. The entire evening was magical. The theme was lanterns which were on the invitation and on the tables mixed in with romantic candles and textured florals. The look fit perfectly at Estancia La Jolla. Guests left after dancing the night away, with Spanish tiles to use as coasters or re-decorate their bathrooms. Thank you to Jena with Vantage Photography for taking such lovely photos!
Always wanting to marry with their feet in the sand, Kim and Eric selected the beautiful Estancia La Jolla. The only problem was that the venue did not have a sandy beach for them to marry on. So they brought in their own sand to stand on at their ceremony, barefoot and all. Eric was escorted by his adorable black lab down the aisle which made for a sentimental moment. The shades in the ballroom were creamy whites and a rich copper tone. Kim’s mom hired a professional artist to capture the evenings activities by painting a picture on the spot of the reception. What a lovely long lasting memory! Thanks Jennifer Dery for getting all the wonderful shots!
Eggplant and sage green were a lovely combination for this sophisticated wedding at Estancia La Jolla. Caitlin and Clint have a wonderful love about them that is evident to all. There was no dry eye at their touching ceremony, especially by Clint. We love it when our grooms cry when they see their bride walking down the aisle. What a tear jerker! True Photography did an excellent job capturing the look of the day.
Melissa and Brendan’s wedding palette may have been black and white, but their love was full of color! What we loved most about working with them is that every decision and detail about their wedding was made together. It was a very personal and well thought out affair! Guests typed messages on an old typewriter belonging to the bride’s Grandmother, Melissa’s mom made the black and white cushion covers for the patio furniture, and the cake was cut with a vintage sword from the groom’s family. The bride and groom shared this special day with friends and family at the beautiful Crosby Club in Rancho Santa Fe. A big thank you to the talented John Schnack for his stunning images.
