Jenny + Tom

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Jenny flew in from Washington D.C. to meet with us (the EAE divas) on a clear, warm, sunny day. You know, one of those days that makes San Diego an attractive vacation destination. Jenny shared her vision and dreams with us and asked if we would help her plan one of the most important days of her life. Months later, her wedding day unfolded into a seamless day, full of beauty, precious moments, fun and laughter. Jenny chose the rich elegance of La Jolla Presbyterian Church for the ceremony, with its dark, wooden pews and breathtaking stained glass windows. Purple was a must at the wedding, as it is Jenny’s favorite color. Loads of purple hydrangea were stuffed in buckets that hung from the entrance doors, welcoming guests as they arrived. All rejoiced as Jenny promenaded down the aisle on the arm of her father, both of them glowing with joy. (Tom looked quite pleased himself!) The Museum of Contemporary Art  was the perfect spot for the reception, with its hip, contemporary feel. The museum has grey cement flooring…a little cold and not great with purple. So, with the help of  Kathy Wright, we added a cappuccino color in the decor to soften the ambiance of the room. We used rectangular and square tables to create a clean, modern feel. The tables were adorned with roses, orchids, monkey’s tail and some silver balls. (really cool!) The museum glowed with candles, up lights and happy faces. The kids were thrilled with their “kids” table full of activities just for them, including a mysterious ‘I Spy’ card and custom pencil. The food, created by Waters Fine Catering was superb. Each course was elegantly designed and paired with a lovely wine to compliment the sophistication of the food. As always, the Wayne Foster  band were super stars, creating pure entertainment all evening long! The guests were dancing their hearts our, as you can see! What a phenomenal day all captured by Jennifer Dery!

Yvette and Ryan’s Wedding

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

Yvette and Ryan are an adorable couple and made sure their guests had a good time at their wedding. Guests danced all evening to the sounds of Flock of 80’s, who rocked the house! The ballroom at Paradise Point (thanks Jenny for being so fantastic to work with!) was dressed in colors of vibrant pink and lime green. Wild Flower Linen provided gorgeous lime green linens with a diamond organza overlay. The cocktail hour linens were all a shantung fuchsia. So fun! Lynne Lucente did a beautiful job on the florals and was a sweetheart to work with. Dawn shot the day with a smile on her face!

EAE at the US Grant Bridal Show

Monday, April 27th, 2009

We were honored to be asked to decorate the Crystal Ballroom at the US Grant for their “first time” bridal show. We worked with Annette Gomez on creating a beautiful and romantic ceremony site that every bride would dream of. (or at least we like to think they would) Wild Flower provided the amazing linens. Chameleon Chair supplied the perfect chair. Wendy Ware did our adorable “Tears of Joy” and Reserved signs. Thank you to Ed, Kimberly and Rita for the incredible job you did! Great show! We look forward to being a part of it again. Suzanne supplied us with  these great shots!

Exquisite Weddings Table Top Shoot

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

We had the privilege of doing a table top for the photo shoot at the Four Seasons Aviara for Exquisite Weddings Magazine. Annette Gomez and I had to work our magic at the last minute to create this beautiful, spring table top. Thank you to WildFlower Linen for supplying us with gorgeous linens. Tim Otto did a fantastic job catching the beauty on camera.
