Congratulations to Shannon and Rick! What a gorgeous day for a wedding this turned out to be at Cuvier Park. Guests enjoyed a scenic ceremony on the bluffs of La Jolla and then feasted on some delicious Mexican cuisine and yummy treats. True Photography did a wonderful job!
When we first met Meredy and her mother Diane, we knew this was going to be a sophisticated and stylish wedding. As an interior designer in L.A., Meredy paid close attention to the details and really wanted the overall feel of the wedding to be a fun, classy, summer picnic. The La Jolla Women’s Club was a perfect setting for their August affair. Mark from Authentic Flavors Catering created a custom menu for Meredy and Bob. Staying true to their picnic theme, the menu included Classic BBQ Chicken Breast and Truffled Penne Pasta with Vermont and Sharp Cheddar and Garlic Panko Crumbs. It was the most amazing mac n’ cheese ever! Their wedding cake, a re-creation of a childhood favorite of Meredy’s, was a white cake with dollops of pastel colored frosting. Four different flavors of cupcakes were tray passed along with mini Haagen Dazs ice cream cups. And what would a fabulous event be without Kathy Wright & Co.? Kathy did a beautiful job of executing Meredy’s vision for an indoor summer picnic. Tables were dressed in bright coral with natural linen napkins and natural wood chivari chairs. Round tables had ivory market umbrellas, detailed with vines and hanging tealights. Terra cotta pots and mason jars were filled with a variety of orange and green flowers including Dahlia and Queen Anne’s Lace. It truly was a magical evening that we were honored to be a part of. What a truly wonderful couple, Marion and Carlo were to work with. With Marion’s attention to detail and impeccable taste, we designed a modern and elegant wedding filled with pewter, butterscotch and hints of gold. The cocktail hour was dedicated to the Korean theme to honor Marion’s culture. Annette Gomez created these amazing pewter sheer flags as the ceremony focal point with a matching aisle runner bordered with ivory rose petals. The weather didn’t cooperate with us but the FABULOUS team at L’Auberge Del Mar with Tracy Schwartz spearheading came together to make sure that Marion and Carlo still had the wedding of their dreams. We had quite the dinner entertainment as Marion’s father sang a song created to a seamless slideshow especially for his daughter. NRG’s beautiful music played throughout the entire day and Andy from Disc Go Round ended the night with his dance party spins. Lindsay and Adam had so much fun at their wedding at Paradise Point and it showed! Lindsay used her grandmother’s buttons on her bridal bouquet. Members of the wedding party were introduced to different “theme” songs that they pre-selected. Cigar rollers were on the deck for all the gentlemen to enjoy. Guests left the reception with donut holes and milk! That’ll cure any hang over! Thank you to True Photography, for capturing all the excitement!
