Love at Last

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Lisa and Kent’s wedding was held at the gorgeous La Jolla Scripps Forum. It was the perfect back drop for their special day. We added pops of color with hanging pom poms to create a festive atmosphere. Lisa, an amazing graphic artist, created their motif to play off the infinity sign which symbolizes their everlasting love. Lisa and Kent were the ultimate relaxed bride and groom, always enjoying the moment! The beautiful celebration was captured by the talented and adorable Sean Walker.

Sunset followed by a Candy Wonderland

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Kendra and Blake had their hearts set on an oceanside ceremony. Without seeing the finished venue, they booked the Seaside Scripps Forum, La Jolla knowing it was going to fulfill their every expectation. Everyone enjoyed the stunning sunset before hopping over to the Brown’s  residence. Chocolate seashells in little white pails awaited the guests as they entered into a Candy Wonderland. The bright pinks and greens along with the florals and the Brown’s decor touches, lit up the backdrop for one fabulous evening. The party continued into the night while hit tunes kept on being played. It truly was an unforgettable wedding. Every detail was captured by the exquisite Monique Feil.

High School Sweethearts

Friday, October 16th, 2009

We first met Annie when we helped coordinate her sister’s wedding a few years ago at their parents Encinitas home. So, we were thrilled to get a call when Annie got engaged to her high school sweetheart, Curtis! Being San Diego natives and sharing a love for the ocean, selecting L’Auberge Del Mar for their wedding just came naturally. And, Sea Grove Park was the ideal backdrop for their cliff side ceremony. Navy blue, lime green and crisp white was the preferred palette, so Annette Gomez created a clean look with white calla lilies and bright green wheat grass, anchored by a beautiful bamboo structure for the ceremony, and orchids, dahlias, roses, and a touch of lime for the reception arrangements. Michael Tiernan serenaded the guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and then put on his DJ hat for dinner and dancing. He is so talented! Instead of table numbers, Annie and Curtis framed pictures of their favorite eating spots in San Diego. As guests entered the ballroom for dancing and dessert, ladies were given navy blue flip flops with personalized size tags. Instead of traditional wedding cake, Annie and Curtis opted for an ice cream station stocked with all their favorite toppings! It was a beautiful day captured by the ever so talented Jennifer Dery, who never disappoints with her amazing photos.

Musically Romantic

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

What a wonderful couple Ava and Ben are! They were such a delight to work with and so much in love! Every time we met we had so much fun just talking and making decisions about the wedding. Ava and Ben are both a breath of fresh air! It was a gorgeous day in Del Mar at the fabulous L’Auberge. Before the ceremony, the guests were greeted with tray passed champagne.  Ava and Ben are both musically talented , so the wedding’s theme had a theatre feel to it. It was quite fitting for a hired narrator to introduce the ceremony before it began.  The narrator had a creative looking scroll with his lines on it that Ava and Ben wrote for him. He was humorous and a unique part of the wedding. The ceremony was very heartfelt with a surprise ending. NRG was placed throughout the ceremony chairs amongst the guests (who had no idea what was about to happen). For the recessional song, the musicians popped up, as well as, the other musicians that were on the terrace above and played “All You Need is Love”. It was so well done and everyone truly enjoyed it! Kathy Wright did an amazing job on the florals and lighting! She is so talented at what she does and is a delight to work with! The menus, table names and all the print work reflected the music theme. There were two cakes. One was a baby grand piano since Ava use to be a concert pianist and the other was a blue Audi since Ben loves to race in his blue Audi. Once guests went down to the ballroom, they found more snack food consisting of mini tacos, french fries, mini square cup cakes and Finland chocolates that Ava’s mom brought over. They were delicious! The night was so fun and all the guests really enjoyed themselves! Michael Chan from the Image is Found took breathtaking images to show each detail of the wedding!
