Laura and Mike were a wonderful couple that we enjoyed working with very much! They married at Calvary Lutheran Church and then had their reception at the chic L’Auberge Del Mar. What a gorgeous evening it was! Check out the groom’s cake!

The historical US Grant is always such a fantastic venue to work at. We always enjoy teaming up with Ed and his fabulous staff. The ceremony was held in the gorgeous Crystal Ballroom dripping with jewels and glowing with candles. Chelsea and Bryan didn’t want a sit down dinner, so they made the reception into one huge cocktail party. To create this look, we used various size tables for guests to sit at (and stand) and set up food stations for guests to enjoy. This created an atmosphere of mingling and fun. Annette used her magic touch with flowers and did a beautiful job. Gabrielle Fox was the photographer and took some memorable photos. Congratulations Chelsea and Bryan!

Working with Erika and her mom, Melissa, was a blast! Erika had a vision for her wedding that was truly unique and personal. Everything from the olive oil favors to the cake topper was personally designed by the bride herself. With family connections to the San Diego Zoo, picking the Wild Animal Park for the ceremony and reception was a natural choice. The decor was earthy and simple yet truly elegant. Annette Gomez did a fantastic job! Chelsea Anne Photography captured the beauty of the day and Tim English took the party late into the night. It was such a joy to help turn our client’s dreams into a reality and a special memory they will never forget.

We first met Annie when we helped coordinate her sister’s wedding a few years ago at their parents Encinitas home. So, we were thrilled to get a call when Annie got engaged to her high school sweetheart, Curtis! Being San Diego natives and sharing a love for the ocean, selecting L’Auberge Del Mar for their wedding just came naturally. And, Sea Grove Park was the ideal backdrop for their cliff side ceremony. Navy blue, lime green and crisp white was the preferred palette, so Annette Gomez created a clean look with white calla lilies and bright green wheat grass, anchored by a beautiful bamboo structure for the ceremony, and orchids, dahlias, roses, and a touch of lime for the reception arrangements. Michael Tiernan serenaded the guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and then put on his DJ hat for dinner and dancing. He is so talented! Instead of table numbers, Annie and Curtis framed pictures of their favorite eating spots in San Diego. As guests entered the ballroom for dancing and dessert, ladies were given navy blue flip flops with personalized size tags. Instead of traditional wedding cake, Annie and Curtis opted for an ice cream station stocked with all their favorite toppings! It was a beautiful day captured by the ever so talented Jennifer Dery, who never disappoints with her amazing photos.

The Moser family…what’s not to love?! We had the privilege of working with the gifted and ever-so-sweet Mother of the Bride, Terese Moser, on her daughter, Lauren’s, wedding. Lauren and Dan had only a few requests: a reception near the water and nautical-themed…the rest was left up to us. Lauren looked stunning in her…..gown, with an original hair design by Wendy at JDM Salon, who also did many of the wedding party hairstyles. (Go sis!!) The ceremony was at San Diego Presbyterian Church. A hand made runner with Lauren and Dan’s initials was laid down on the aisle. The reception setting was strikingly beautiful with a view of downtown San Diego along the bay at the Coronado Marriott. A huge, draped white tent was set up, decorated with hand-painted navy and white lanterns. Spectacular chandeliers were created out of wine and champagne glasses by the bride’s sister and a friend. In the planning stages, we weren’t so sure about this, but they turned out to be beautiful focal art pieces! Annette worked her magic, designing a unique collection of centerpieces using a variety of antique silver containers, including mint julep cups and family trophies, adding an interesting personal touch. A special wall of memorable pictures of Lauren and Dan was strung up in the tent for guests to peruse. A lovely candy table was part of the décor, as well as offering many delectable sweets, consisting of Lauren and Dan’s favorite homemade cookies (made by the bride), along with matching navy and white candies. A secret family spice recipe was packaged up for guests to take home. Posh Paperie did a fantastic job on all the print work! The invitees were entertained by the talented Michael Tiernan. Jason with Garrett Photography and Modern 8 Films captured memorable moments with incredible expertise…go team! The finale was a grand exit lit with sparklers at the edge of the water leading Lauren and Dan to a decorated boat ready to cruise them across the bay to their hotel. Sooooo romantic!

Jamie and Joel planned their wedding from the east coast. This was a true destination wedding with all their guests coming from out of town to attend the celebration. We designed an entire weekend for Jamie, Joel and their guests to enjoy. On arrival, they were greeted with cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres at L’Auberge. The next day some guests went to the Zoo (Jamie is an animal lover), while others went golfing at the Torrey Pines Golf Course. Later all the guests reunited over a dinner at Candelas on the bay in Coronado. Each guest could relax knowing transportation to and from each event was taken care of. We even kept their appetites satisfied with snacks and cold water along the way.
The wedding was at L’Auberge on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The entire theme of the wedding was based on Jamie’s wedding dress, which was covered with delicate little cherry blossoms. From the welcome bag totes to the menu cards on each place setting, we carried the cherry blossom motif throughout. It was adorable! Jamie told us the colors she wanted and basically let us create the rest. It was a team effort between Annette and our EverAfter Events team. We had so much fun brainstorming ideas to go with the theme. It is such a treat when our brides trust us like that, letting us go crazy with all our creative ideas! The wedding was on the Sunset Terrace and was decorated traditionally with a customized ivory runner and soft petals scattered on it. The chuppah was beautifully draped in champagne color fabric, adorned with orchids and spray roses and was over 8ft. tall for Rabbi Ian. Love him! For the reception on the Pacific Terrace, we had tables draped in soft antique rose-colored linens made by Wild Flower Linens. The head table had custom clips of fabric made that hung from each corner of the table, as well as the chairs. It was stunning! The crowd was entertained by the amazing NRG, who did a fantastic job on such a warm day! The cake, made by CAKE, was gorgeous, with an umbrella hanging over it dripping with balls of flowers and ivy. When we showed Jamie the reception area, she started to hyperventilate….she was so thrilled! What a compliment. Thank you, Garrett, for taking such phenomenal photos!

Katie and Tavis are from opposite coasts but a match made in heaven! These two lovebirds couldn’t keep their eyes off each other during the entire planning process! Lavendar, deep purples and breathtaking orchids with natural elements set the setting at Estancia La Jolla. We had organic touches of locally grown plants, plantable seed programs and recycled welcome bags to keep in sync with the couple’s love for the environment. The hit of the evening was Joes on the Nose, delivering their organic lattes served in heart swirls. Thank you to Annette Gomez for the beautiful decor and to Rebecca Seal for capturing the amazing day!

What a truly wonderful couple, Marion and Carlo were to work with. With Marion’s attention to detail and impeccable taste, we designed a modern and elegant wedding filled with pewter, butterscotch and hints of gold. The cocktail hour was dedicated to the Korean theme to honor Marion’s culture. Annette Gomez created these amazing pewter sheer flags as the ceremony focal point with a matching aisle runner bordered with ivory rose petals. The weather didn’t cooperate with us but the FABULOUS team at L’Auberge Del Mar with Tracy Schwartz spearheading came together to make sure that Marion and Carlo still had the wedding of their dreams. We had quite the dinner entertainment as Marion’s father sang a song created to a seamless slideshow especially for his daughter. NRG’s beautiful music played throughout the entire day and Andy from Disc Go Round ended the night with his dance party spins. Thank you Shannon Henry of True Photography for getting all the excellent shots!

Elisabeth and Dave are such a beautiful couple! Always gracious and appreciative, the two are a wonderful pair. We created a romantic theme with mocha and blush with added touches of champagne, butter creams and crystals. Not only did we have the ever exquisite Estancia La Jolla as the backdrop, but Annette Gomez did her signature style of perfection. We added a few surprises with Elisabeth changing into her 2nd wedding gown, to dance her Manolo Blahnik heels off to NRG’s fabulous tunes. Another yummy surprise was the popcorn station. To capture every last detail was our one and only Garrett Photography and Jason Taylor Films. What a gorgeous wedding!
