Laura and Mike were a wonderful couple that we enjoyed working with very much! They married at Calvary Lutheran Church and then had their reception at the chic L’Auberge Del Mar. What a gorgeous evening it was! Check out the groom’s cake!

Lisa and Kent’s wedding was held at the gorgeous La Jolla Scripps Forum. It was the perfect back drop for their special day. We added pops of color with hanging pom poms to create a festive atmosphere. Lisa, an amazing graphic artist, created their motif to play off the infinity sign which symbolizes their everlasting love. Lisa and Kent were the ultimate relaxed bride and groom, always enjoying the moment! The beautiful celebration was captured by the talented and adorable Sean Walker.

When Chris and Marci met at camp many years ago, they had no idea that their friendship would later turn into love. But, when Chris moved from Utah to Long Beach to be with Marci, they knew that they were going to be together forever! And so began the planning for their January wedding at the ever-so-charming Darlington House in La Jolla. To compliment the look and feel of the venue, they chose slate grey, cobalt blue and a touch of cherry red to complete their look. Authentic Flavors stuck with the couple’s favorites and created a fabulous Mexican buffet to go with their custom hot sauce favors. Even on a cool night, the guests danced the night away under the stars. Thank you Sarah Shreves for sharing these wonderful pictures with us.

Some families are just so wonderful to work with and this is one of those families! This gorgeous ceremony and reception were held at the amazing Grand Del Mar . Guests had the best time dancing the night away with Wayne Foster himself. Jennifer Cole did an outstanding job on the florals and was also a guest where she and her husband could let loose. The wedding cake was designed around the bridesmaids shoes. Each shoe had a similar blossom on the toe area which was then created onto the cake. Tim Otto did an amazing job and is always entertaining to work with.

When we first met Jessica and Sean, they were searching for their dream venue. The luxurious Rancho Valencia Resort and the fabulous Lauren Finley were the perfect match. Their wedding was all about the little details…beginning with the tray passed pink lemonade, parasols and fans, ruffley pink petals to toss and the pink rock candy stirrers which symbolized Sean’s old rock star status. The guests danced and sang along to the Beatles tunes performed by a live band who had some pretty elaborate costume changes and Beatle reenactments. The delicious organic treats from Viva Pops made of strawberry and pear vanilla were a late night hit. Along with the super cool guitar cake. The stunning photography was captured by the lovely and talented Natalie Moser.

Guess what Maggie’s favorite color is…purple! It certainly suited her to select purple as the main color for her Scottish wedding. Maggie took a trip with her family to Scottland and since her family roots are from there, she wanted to add a Scottish twist into the wedding day. She accomplished this by having the officiant (who was her father) wearing a kilt, as well as, the ring bearers. On her bouquet she attached a pendant that she bought while on her trip. The venue she chose was the church where her dad is the pastor and she grew up in. Isn’t this the cutest flower girl you’ve ever seen! I think so! (she’s my niece) She did such a great job pulling little Caydence down the aisle. Maggie and Brian love candy, so it was a necessity to have a candy station made up of their favorite candy. To finish the day, Maggie and Brian brought back the old tradition of allowing their guests to throw bird seed at them. I wonder how many days they were finding bird seed in their hair. Tim Otto, the super star, captured all the photos.

Congratulations to Shannon and Rick! What a gorgeous day for a wedding this turned out to be at Cuvier Park. Guests enjoyed a scenic ceremony on the bluffs of La Jolla and then feasted on some delicious Mexican cuisine and yummy treats. True Photography did a wonderful job!

Kendra and Blake had their hearts set on an oceanside ceremony. Without seeing the finished venue, they booked the Seaside Scripps Forum, La Jolla knowing it was going to fulfill their every expectation. Everyone enjoyed the stunning sunset before hopping over to the Brown’s residence. Chocolate seashells in little white pails awaited the guests as they entered into a Candy Wonderland. The bright pinks and greens along with the florals and the Brown’s decor touches, lit up the backdrop for one fabulous evening. The party continued into the night while hit tunes kept on being played. It truly was an unforgettable wedding. Every detail was captured by the exquisite Monique Feil.
